Victim Services, Support and Reform (VSSR) is part of the Police, Racing, Victims and Coordination Division of the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). VSSR is responsible for the delivery and reform of services to victims of crime, placing victims at the centre of our justice system.
The Victim Services Support Operations team within VSSR is responsible for the delivery of trauma informed and victim centric services, including the Victims of Crime Helpline, Victims Register, as well as funding the state-wide Victims Assistance Program to provide eligible victims with flexible case management services to meet their practical, emotional and psychological needs to help manage the effects of crime.
About the Role:
The Manager, Service Delivery Operations is responsible for leading, planning, developing and overseeing practice development the contract management of externally funded services including the VAP, clinical supervision for Victim Services Support Operations staff, Critical Incident Response planning and training for VSSR staff.
It also contributes to the effective operation of VSSR and the wider victim support system by:
- adhering to the organisational vision, policies, guidelines and procedures
- adopting behaviours which support productive teamwork
- providing and accessing effective direct service support and resourcing
- providing effective management support to staff; and
- using ICT and writing skills to enhance the work of the team, organisation and wider support system
- Demonstrated strategic and operational management experience within a diverse and complex human service environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the provision of effective, on-going services to victims of crime and their families.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a high performing team and promote a culture which encourages initiative, innovation and emphasises the value of continuous improvement
