Job Description

Job Title: Financial Analyst - Sales Compensation

Position Summary:

Reporting to the CMD European Commercial Finance Director, this role is part of the remote working FP&A team supporting all activities of the CMD EMEA Commercial team, covering $600M+ of bookings and revenue. The candidate will help support all Sales product lines within the Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry Division.

The Financial Analyst - Sales Compensation is responsible for the calculations, analysis and reporting of variable sales compensation for our sales and sales adjacent teams. This role supports the Sales, Finance, and Accounting teams in structuring, delivering and analyzing all compensation plans for our commission driven employees. This role is highly visible for the timely and accurate calculation of commission payments, and the auditing of various metrics to ensure a high level of data integrity.

This role is site/office based.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter authority on sales compensation and a trusted advisor to improve compensation plans to drive business growth.
  • Coordinate commissions calculations and the underlying processes/data.
  • Investigate sales compensation issues thoroughly, review practices, propose revisions and trends and recommends solutions to address challenges; sees issues through to resolution.
  • Build and develop performance measurements and dashboards for Sales Leadership to drive and manage the business.
  • Drive analytics projects to provide deep insight into sales compensation pay for performance strategies and planning decisions.
  • With each new quota cycle, develop annual territory quotas, plan, and push through design changes, conduct training, and update policies and processes.
  • Generate internal documentation on compensation plans, reporting guidelines and compensation related FAQs and lead employee enquiries.
  • Proactively find opportunities for change, operational improvement, and system enhancements.
  • Strong business partnering and ability to work across the CMD Commercial organization.
  • Build relationships with members of the EMEA Leadership Team in order to drive visibility and accountability- develop reporting and dashboards to support the business requirements.
  • Become an active and contributing member of the CMD Commercial Finance team.
  • Be confident working with others to develop new reporting processes.
  • Become a central point of contact and trusted colleague within the CMD organization.
  • Champion PPI projects to drive process and productivity improvement develop and implement meaningful financial metrics, partner on implementation and measure results.
  • Mentoring and guidance to other team members.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of strong analytical experience in financial planning, business analysis, compensation/commissions reporting.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience with SalesForce CRM.
  • Strong analytical skills, logical approach.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Can do attitude and ability to positively implement change.
  • Self-motivated with high drive for action; hands on team player.
  • Fluent in English.
