The Role:
In this position, you will drive partnership with existing accounts to deliver sales growth as well as identify and convert new customers to the Kao Salon brands in the market. You will be accountable for achieving the annual targets and for delivering the commercial plans to the accounts through direct account responsibility.

You will also deliver merchandising expertise and product knowledge to the accounts to ensure excellent consumer experience. This role is accountable for rolling out the Sales Strategy and to drive and deliver the Global Salon Strategy. Starting business with new and bigger clients is one of the key objectives.
The role will have no managerial responsibility, but close collaboration with the Business Development Manager, eComm & retails, Nordics, as well as the CS&M and regional team
This is a permanent, full-time position based in the Helsinki area. At Kao, we operate a hybrid working model with two office days per week (on average).
What you will do:
- Responsible to drive Net sales development within Finnish retailers of the Kao Salon OTC brands:
- Establish strong partner relations with retailers – all relevant functions (purchase, marketing, online, logistics, etc.)
- In close collaboration with the country associated director identify and exploit market opportunities to develop the retail channel for Kao Salon OTC brands.
- Deliver training, motivation and coaching plans to build store staff capabilities. Identify capability gaps, and design and deliver plans against them. Collaborate with the education team to deliver specialized training as required.
- Execute local market sales strategy with excellence across all commercial initiatives, new product launches and seasonal activity.
- Activate Joint Business Plans to deliver salon growth through increased sell through.
- Collaborate with the wider local Kao Salon Division team to identify opportunities to take in additional Kao Salon Division brands and build their portfolio with retailers.
What you will need:
- Minimum bachelor level – preferable master degree
- 5+ years sales experience in sales with a track record of successes in Beauty/Health/Fashion/FMCG (ideally luxury and salon industry)
- Experience managing key accounts and communicating business plans effectively to high profile customers (both written and verbally)
- Knowledge of the haircare / beauty industry preferred
- Experience of developing long term and short term sales strategies and promotions and working within company set guidelines to maintain both equity and profitability of the brands.
- Passion for the beauty Industry and the Kao Salon Division brands
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel (advanced) and Outlook and comfortable with working with sales tools and systems such as SAP/BI.
- Fluent in Finnish and English
