Technology & R&D Intelligence Manager
Your mission
The Technology & R&D Intelligence Manager will contribute to building the R&D vision and strategy for Kaneka Eurogentec (KEGT) by developing an awareness of technological threats and opportunities inside the Organization and by identifying new technologies to be developed or acquired.
She/he will report directly to the R&D Innovation Director.
Your main tasks and responsibilities
In collaboration with Kaneka (KNK) Biopharma Research Laboratories, Pharma Division and New Business Planning,
Technology watch:
- Contribute actively and coordinate technology watch and competitive positioning performed inside KEGT Organization,
- Put in place and maintain appropriate tools to centralize and analyze the data,
- Request, coordinate and integrate the inputs received from KNK,
- Analyze the data collected and identify the threats for current KEGT businesses and the opportunities for sales and/or profitability growth,
- Identify Scientific Opinion leaders in each field linked to our activities and keep the list updated,
- Identify and propose new R&D themes to investigate, new technological solutions and new business growth fields,
- Analyze in depth selected themes and make concrete proposals (KNK-KEGT internal development strategy, collaboration with partner, in-licensing, M&A, …) and recommendations to R&D & Innovation Director and Heads of Business Units or CEO.
- Transfer to appropriate operational teams all necessary information related to short-term development projects that can be taken in charge and managed directly and exclusively by these teams,
- Elaborate or contribute to elaboration of detailed plans (incl. resources, timelines, budget, risk management…) for mid-long term internal or collaborative R&D projects,
- Contribute to preparation and success of technology in-licensing and M&A projects.
Your aptitudes

- Ability to summarize data and to share results and proposal in a clear and concise manner,
Your profile
- PhD in biochemistry, biomedical sciences or equivalent
- Scientific experience and expertise in KEGT business fields,
- MBA or equivalent is a plus,
- Fluent in English
